Once this is determined, you will be contacted by a recruiter and then guided through a series of assessments and screenings so we are knowledgeable of your skills and background. Ameristaff provides health insurance through Essential Staffcare.

Once you enroll, it may take 3-4 weeks for the health insurance to process.  Once you see your payment come out of your check, then your health insurance will be active on the following Monday.  Essential Staffcare will send your insurance cards to the address you listed on the form.  If you don’t see the payment come out after 4 weeks, please contact Essential Staffcare, or your local branch.

Ameristaff offers paycards through Prepaid Technologies for employees without bank accounts.

Employees who opt-in for the paycard must pick up their temporary paycard in their local Ameristaff office after they have worked at least one shift.

Prepaid Technologies will mail you a paycard with your first and last name on it after you have received 2 deposits onto your paycard from Ameristaff.

It is IMPORTANT to keep your address up-to-date, so if there are any changes, please contact Prepaid Technologies AND Ameristaff.

If you lose your paycard, please call Prepaid Technologies so they can order you a new one.

Opt-in to receive an online W2 by going to the Employee Portal and selecting online W2. After January 1st, print your W2 without having to wait to receive it in the mail.  If you’ve moved, please give us a call or update your contact information on the employee portal so we have a current and correct address for you.

AmeriStaff requires you to fully complete the application process, successfully pass the applicable assessments for your skill set, and provide accurate information for a reference check. We also require you to pass a drug screen, background check, and electronic employment eligibility verification via Form I-9.

Most of our jobs are light industrial positions. We also receive requests for clerical personnel. Our clients call us often with new orders. Generally, we recruit for workers with experience in order selecting, forklift driving, loading and unloading, assembly, picking and packing, inspecting, and general warehouse work. Our clerical recruitment is most often in reception or office administration. Because many of our customers have come to trust and rely on our services, we also receive orders for supervisory positions and many skilled trade positions.

Yes, many of our clients will hire our employees who exemplify good attendance, work performance, practice good safety habits. The important thing to remember is when placed out at a company you are not guaranteed regular full time employment with that company as they have many areas to consider prior to making a hiring decision.

AmeriStaff offers holiday pay and vacation pay to qualified employees. We offer health insurance to all employees.

If you have to miss work, you are required to call the client to which you are assigned if they have provided you a contact number and you must call your AmeriStaff office and let them know as well.

In order to qualify for paid holidays you have to be working full-time at the time of the holiday and have an accumulation of 1200 hours.
